Long time between entries. Plan to try to do better in the new year. Text communication was never one of my best skills. Have added a few new imgages and plan to do some revisions of old files. The plans for the new year are to continue the focus on B&W images. Will begin to mat and frame a number of the images for competitions.

It has been a little slow in the image makeing department for the last two weeks. Time ahs been spent helping other artists with staging shows and catching up with my sculpture projects. I hve also spent some time working on some new black & white workflow procedures. After having purchased an Epson 3880 some 9 months ago, I finally set it up and printed a coupel of picutes. I need to do some minor calibration on the printer once I settle on a paper to use, but otherwise the first efforts were satisfactory.

Just returned from a weeklong trip to Arizona. Many of the images are posted on the site. Antelope Canyon, Horseshoe Bend and Havasupai Falls are a few of the new photographs added. I will be working over the next several weeks to add and refine the image sets. The color images are relatively simple to review and prepare, the black & white prints are much more difficult to manage.

Rather than only shoot traditional landscapes, the photographs include a number of images that fall into a catagory that loosely call 'patterns'. Wheter it is the shape of the subject, its postioning or its juxtapostion with other objects in the image, the intent is to capture the dynamic flow, perhaps evoking a unique response to hereto for ignored or disassociated components.

Other than a little file cleanup it looks like the initial site is up and operational. There have been more issues than I had planned. Using HTML generating software can be a little tricky at times because it may be less flexible than you desire or require, but I have been successful within the constraints.

I wanted to get this up before my photo excursion next week. I hope that after this trip I will be able to refine the photo selection on the site and create some highlighted new material pages. Enjoy!

As the saying goes, everything is in a state of change and this site appears to be right on schedule. I have received some excellent advice from a 'right brain' friend of mine letting me know that my 'left brain' approach in some areas was pedantic to the point of overkill, thus changes have been made. Hope the flow is improved, and the site more user friendly.

Sometimes you get more than you ask for. It seems that my initial post contained a lot of verbage that was part of the Blog setup instruction set. As time progresses this will disappear, so please bear with me as I try to get this set up.

In two weeks I have an extended photography trip planned to Arizona. It wil include Apache Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, Grand Canyon-including Havisupi Falls, RT 66 at night and Las Vegas. The Light Bandits will be on the loose for about a week. I hope to have several new series of photographs posted by late September from this trip.

The site has been up for a number of years and has had several evolutions. With my return to serious photography, I would like to use the site to showcase my work. Initial images are being used to populate the site structure. While some may remain for the long term, in the next several months the main effort will be to refine site contents to include only fine print quality images. My primary focus will be on Black & White images.

Please come back often and see the progress. I invite comments, questions and critiques on any and all of my work. One can only improve through the scrutiny of multiple sets of eyes. Enjoy!
