Trail : Lake Fausse Point State Park

Trail Rating : Three trail sections can be use to make up about 9 miles of a run without running the same section in the same direction more than once.

Description : Nice park on Lake Fausse. The last 8 miles of road to the park are paved but very rough. Trail runs along the lake and several marshy areas. There are wet sections of the trail, but the rangers have done a good job to assist with getting around/through these. After a lot of rain this is probably not a good area for a run. All of the land is low, and subject to flooding

Length : A Trail - .75 mi, B Trail - .75 mi, C Trail - 3 mi (loop)

Footing : LA black loamy soil, damp in spots, some roots.

Terrain Profile : Flat

Water Availability : Carry it. Available at camp ground.

Access : Parking at Campground or in day visitor area.

Other Users : Some walkers/bikers.

Driving Directions : From St Martinville town center, take LA Rt 96 east. About 5 miles out of town there will be a sign for the park directing you to take a right turn on LA RT 679. Follow this to Conteau Homes, turn left at the sign for the park. This will take you the Levy Road. Turn right and go 8 miles to the park entrance.
