Trail : Elden Overlook Trail - Flagstaff

Trail Rating : Good trail. Very tough, use for a hill climbing workout.

Description : There are a series of trails which run over and around Mt Elden. They vary in length, elevation changes and surface. This trail climbs to the top of the mountain.

Length : 3 miles out.

Footing : The footing ranges from great to rough. The beginning is packed earth, as you get past the 1 mile point is is a lot of climbing over rocks that may be a 1 foot step up.

Terrain Profile : The slope of the trail varies from 5% to as much as 25%. Like Devils Thumb, only twice as long and twice as high.

Water Availability : Carry it.

Access : Parking area at trail head , off Rt 180 E.
