Trail : Crooked River State Park

Trail Rating : Trails too short to be an effective training area. Would use only in a pinch.

Description : Beautiful park located on the Crooked River. Limited trails - only about 1.5 miles. There is a rural road nearby that is not heavily traveled. You can add extra miles there.

Length : 1.5 miles - Palmetto Trail - 3 miles if run out and back.

Footing : Sandy soil, live oak leaf cover or pine needles in many places. Great for a short ramble. Trails are winds through a pine forest.

Terrain Profile : Flat

Water Availability : Carry it. Available at camp ground.

Access : Parking at Campground or in day visitor area.

Other Users : Some walkers.

Nearest City : St Marys, Ga

Driving Directions : Exit from I95 at the 3 mile exit. Head east on Colerain Rd to Kings Bay Rd , turn left. Go about a mile to State Route 40. There are signs for the state park and the Kings Bay Submaring Base. Turn left on SR 40 and go about 3 miles. Park is on the right side.
