Description : The City of Boise has created a path on both the north and south side of the Boise River through the city. While most of it is paved, there is a section of several miles on the south side of the river going east that is dirt trail.
Length :10-20 miles in both directions from the Zoo(Julia Davis Park).
Footing : Much of the trail is paved. There are some areas where the tree roots have raised the pavement, so watch your step even in the paved areas. The dirt section starting at about 2.5 miles on the south east trail is very good and there are no roots to contend with.
Terrain Profile : Flat to slightly uphill going east. This river flows east to west.
Water Availability : Carry it. Available at the park.
Access : Parking area at the Julia Davis Park/zoo.
